Senior FPGA Engineer - Systems Team

In this role you will configure Riverlane’s Deltaflow hardware to enable low-latency, high-throughput quantum control systems. You’ll bridge customers and our product team, adapting hardware for evolving quantum experiments and ensuring reliable data handling. You’ll collaborate with scientists and engineers to validate systems and drive design wins. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at a world-leading QEC company.

• Host technical workshops and assess customer control and data communication needs
• End-to-end system deployment: write RTL to adapt to customer control systems and ensure correct data reception
• Collaborate with the Quantum Application Team to design experiments and test the system
• Benchmark latency and identify hardware limitations
• Troubleshoot customer issues, document fixes, and update verification environments
• Advocate for customers: relay feedback to product team and highlight features needed for future products

• Experience with FPGA platforms (AMD/Xilinx MPSoCs/RFSoCs, Altera Stratix 7/ Stratix 10)
• Experience in SystemVerilog or VHDL
• Implementation of modern classical decoders on FPGA (e.g., LDPC, turbo-codes)
• Implementation of Ethernet and High-Speed Protocols
• Implementation of custom protocols and standards
• Proven ability to test, debug and improve UVM verification environment
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Ability to translate product requirements into technical specifications
