Senior Front End Developer

In this role, you will steer the frontend technical direction for Global’s Shared space, collaborating with the Tech Lead to shape architecture and delivery across multiple products. You’ll own development on a modern stack (Next.js, React, TypeScript) and contribute to shared libraries and AI-assisted practices. You’ll mentor engineers, drive governance, and ensure high standards across cross-team initiatives. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role in a collaborative, agile environment with a strong emphasis on scalable frontend platforms.

• Own the frontend technical direction across the Shared space with autonomy
• Lead feature delivery using Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, and Directus headless CMS
• Contribute to shared component libraries, design tokens, and cross-team packages
• Drive AI-assisted development practices (Claude Code) to accelerate delivery and testing
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to ensure feasibility and alignment
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers via pairing and code reviews; uphold high standards
• Support frontend governance and architectural direction across Commercial Tech

• Strong experience building production React applications with TypeScript
• Demonstrable Next.js experience (SSR, SSG, App Router, API routes, middleware)
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Directus, Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, or similar)
• Comfort with GraphQL and/or REST APIs
• Solid testing discipline (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Experience leading or mentoring frontend engineers
• Autonomy to make technical decisions and communicate them clearly
• Active use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
