Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Front End Developer (5+ years) to modernize Angular front-end architecture using Angular, Metronic, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS

Join a modernization initiative within a global asset management environment focused on reducing technical debt across a large Angular application portfolio. This role will lead efforts to decouple shared layout, navigation, and theming components from Metronic into a reusable internal Angular library while supporting Angular upgrade and migration activities. The position offers the opportunity to influence front-end technology decisions and support reusable architecture across multiple applications.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, Every Thursday and 1 Friday of the month

Must Haves

• 5+ years of professional Angular development including Angular upgrade and migration work
• Hands-on work with Metronic , Bootstrap 5, and Tailwind CSS in production applications
• Experience removing jQuery -based behaviors using idiomatic Angular component-driven approaches
• Experience publishing and versioning internal packages using npm , Azure Artifacts, or GitHub Packages
• Education requirements not specified

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal design systems or component libraries
• Experience with Kendo UI Angular components
• Background in enterprise or regulated financial services environments
• Exposure to Azure AD/MSAL authentication flows in Angular applications

Responsibilities

• Audit current Metronic usage across Angular applications
• Design and build a shared Angular component library for navigation, theming, and layout
• Define and execute a migration path away from direct Metronic dependency
• Remove legacy jQuery-based template scripting from applications
• Establish a strategy to support Angular version upgrades
• Coordinate phased rollout activities with application teams
• Write migration guides for teams adopting the shared library
