Senior Front End Engineer

MCS Group is working with a growing software company to recruit a Senior Front End Engineer to join its product engineering team. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone with strong React and TypeScript experience who enjoys building modern, scalable front-end applications.

The business is investing heavily in how users interact with its technology, including new approaches where AI can dynamically generate or shape elements of the user interface. You'll play an important role in building the React foundations that allow these experiences to work reliably in production.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and developing complex front‑end applications using React and TypeScript
• Creating reusable components and scalable front‑end architecture
• Working on interfaces that combine traditional application experiences with AI‑generated and dynamic UI
• Building the foundations that allow generated components and experiences to be rendered safely and consistently
• Working closely with backend, product and AI engineers to bring new product features to life
• Tackling challenges around application state, data flow, performance and responsiveness
• Helping establish strong engineering standards across the front‑end codebase
• Reviewing code and supporting other engineers across the team
• Exploring new patterns and technologies as the way users interact with software continues to evolve

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience as a Front End or Software Engineer
• Excellent React and TypeScript skills
• Strong understanding of modern React architecture, component patterns and state management
• Experience building complex, production‑grade web applications
• Comfortable consuming APIs and working closely with backend engineering teams
• An interest in AI‑enabled products and new approaches to building user interfaces
• Comfortable working in an environment where parts of the UI may be generated or composed dynamically rather than being entirely predefined
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on maintainability, performance and quality
• Someone who enjoys solving new technical problems rather than simply implementing predefined designs

Salary

• Up to £80,000 plus a strong benefits package including share options.
