Overview
As a Python Engineer in a global systematic hedge fund, you will help extend and build trading infrastructure for rates and FX strategies. You’ll work closely with research teams to design, implement, and analyse automated trading algorithms and expand the proprietary research platform to support new exchanges and products. The role combines high-impact software engineering with quantitative trading, offering a strong performance culture, training, and a clear career path.

- Extend existing infrastructure to support new systematic trading strategies (rates and FX)
- Architect and implement automated trading algorithms with research teams
- Expand proprietary research platform for new exchanges, products and functionality
- Engineer software infrastructure to support multiple lines of business
- Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Utilize version control and deployment pipelines (Git/GitLab) to manage code and releases
- Expert production-level Python experience (numpy, pandas, scipy, statsmodels)
- Strong ability to translate high-level requirements into engineering concepts
- Experience with SQLAlchemy and SQL; proficient with Redis and Docker
- Knowledge of fixed income terminology and products
- Experience with time series data, time zones, data gaps, and derivative/futures construction
- Git-based version control and GitLab deployment experience
- Experience with FIX would be useful
- Collaborative with cross-functional teams
- Pragmatic, balanced approach to using libraries vs. building from scratch
