Senior Frontend Engineer (Remote) - UK

In this role you design and evolve scalable software solutions within a cross-functional team, contributing to a leading research platform. You own the services your team manages and mentor junior engineers, aligning work with the broader engineering strategy. You will ship working code using modern frontend and backend tech, while continuously deploying, iterating, and learning in a high-performance environment. • Define technical solutions and contribute to architectural vision for scalable platforms
• Ship working code using React on the frontend and Kotlin microservices with Postgres on the backend, with Rails for legacy services
• Deploy and iterate with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI and Spinnaker) and gather feedback for next iterations
• Build competency through hands-on work and internal learning resources
• Monitor and troubleshoot services, diagnose root causes, and deploy fixes

• Degree in a STEM subject (preferred) or equivalent craft experience
• Experience in a mature Engineering team at a similar level
• Deep frontend engineering expertise with modern frameworks (ideally React)
• Proven track record of impacting previous roles
• Highly driven, proactive, and capable of independent problem solving
