Senior Full-Stack Applied ML Lead

Own full-stack delivery and applied machine learning experiments at Bells of Steel in Calgary, using React Native, TypeScript, and Python.

This senior contract role combines production mobile development with wearable research and evidence-based product decisions. You will work directly with the founder, owning the React Native/Expo app, Supabase/Postgres backend, local-first data, sensor ingestion, and ML evaluation. Hands-on technical design, SQL, APIs, authorization, statistics, and practical React/TypeScript are central to the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own app release, monitoring, and day-to-day operation
• Build reliable sync, access control, and sensor ingestion
• Design wearable measurement and machine learning experiments
• Turn validated findings into coaching features
• Review AI-assisted code and maintain reproducible decisions

Requirements:

• Production mobile app shipping and post-launch support experience
• Personally built and evaluated applied machine learning systems
• Strong backend, SQL, API, authorization, and React skills
• Python, statistics, calibration, leakage, and reference error knowledge
• Usually six-plus years owning technical design and delivery decisions
