Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and maintain the Enhanced OTC Module with a modern JavaScript frontend and Java backend on Azure. You’ll work closely with analysts and product managers to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions and provide technical leadership. You’ll build, test, and review code, contribute to design docs and API specs, and support teams through troubleshooting. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and debug medium‑ to large‑scale software enhancements within business and technical domains
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Provide architectural input and technical thought leadership within the team
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, React and related technologies
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical guidance
  • Build and maintain automated tests and advance testing frameworks
  • Perform manual testing as needed to ensure release quality
  • Contribute to design documentation, API specifications, and customer‑facing documentation
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes (standups, planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives)
  • Collaborate across teams on engineering initiatives and integration efforts
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to grow team capability
Key requirements
  • 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong Java development background in cloud‑native architectures
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular)
  • Azure cloud experience preferred (AWS/GCP also considered)
  • Kubernetes and Kafka exposure is beneficial
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives is beneficial
  • Relational databases, OO programming, scripting languages
  • Ability to work independently on medium to large projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, team collaboration
  • Minimum 5 years with Agile methodologies
