Senior Full Stack Developer

WeComm

England · United Kingdom · United Kingdom

A well-known outdoor retail brand, passionate about helping customers enjoy the great outdoors, is investing heavily in its in-house technology team as a core driver of business success. With a strong focus on sustainability and quality, they design products built for adventure — from hiking and skiing to everyday exploring — and that same spirit of teamwork and individuality runs right through how they build technology. Diversity and inclusion aren't just values on a wall here; they genuinely shape how teams work together, and every role — whether customer-facing or behind the scenes — plays a real part in bringing the brand to life.

The Role

This is a Senior Full Stack Developer role sitting within the Web Development team, working specifically on systems related to Customer Experience and Customer Service — a mix of internal services and public-facing applications spanning cloud, datacentre and modern edge/serverless environments. The development department is organised into small, product-based teams running Kanban with a strong focus on continuous delivery and microservices, and the culture here is genuinely collaborative — strong code review, regular pair programming, and a real commitment to writing well-tested, maintainable code rather than just shipping fast. The work itself is a realistic mix of green-field and legacy projects, mostly using C#, SQL Server, Next.js, React and TypeScript, spanning both monolithic and microservices architectures. It's fully remote.

The Person

They're looking for a technically strong, organised senior developer with at least 6 years' commercial experience in both React/TypeScript and C# — someone who produces results quickly and iterates based on feedback, rather than over-engineering before shipping anything. Beyond the core stack, they want someone with genuine knowledge of microservice design principles, comfort with modern git workflows, and a strong communicator who understands projects and their goals in real depth. Just as important is the mindset: someone who makes pragmatic implementation decisions, isn't afraid to fail fast if an approach isn't working, and has either experience mentoring junior developers or a genuine willingness to start. Above all, they want someone who genuinely cares about writing high-quality, well-tested code — not just someone who can, but someone who wants to.
