Senior Full Stack Developer (AWS)

Senior. Location: Toronto, ON - hybrid, 2 days onsite.

Red Pico is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership of backend architecture and development for end-user self-service and access visibility solutions. This role combines architectural responsibility with hands‑on development of APIs, scripts and system integrations, with a strong focus on AWS-based solutions. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable, reliable and maintainable applications while contributing to key architecture and design decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and own backend architecture for self-service and access visibility capabilities
• Develop and maintain backend APIs, scripts and system integrations
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable backend solutions
• Define technical standards and development approaches
• Design solutions that are secure, reliable, maintainable and aligned with architectural standards
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Identify and address technical risks, dependencies and integration requirements- Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment and ongoing solution improvements
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and design decisions
• Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, APIs and integrations

Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS and cloud-based application development
• Experience in application architecture and hands‑on backend development
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design and systems integration
• Experience developing scripts and automation solutions- Ability to design scalable, secure and maintainable applications
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns and integration practices
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and technical documentation skills

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of identity and access management or access visibility concepts
• Experience with enterprise applications and complex system integrations
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring developers- Understanding of DevOps, automated testing and deployment practices
