Senior Full Stack Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, build and deliver fan-facing digital features end-to-end to support the club’s digital product roadmap. You will work closely with Product Managers and Designers, applying AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery while upholding quality, accessibility, security and performance. You will own the technical approach, implementation and release readiness, collaborating with partners to turn ideas into production-ready experiences. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven engineering role at a scale where your work directly impacts supporters’ digital experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans
  • Rapidly prototype ideas using AI-assisted tooling to validate concepts before production
  • Build responsive, accessible, production-ready web experiences across app, desktop and mobile on top of the design system
  • Design and integrate with Contentful and contribute to content model design
  • Build and consume APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while validating AI outputs
  • Write automated tests and instrument features for analytics and experimentation
  • Prepare code for review by external development partner and support deployment
  • Contribute to engineering standards, reusable components and ways of working
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience shipping modern web and app applications end-to-end
  • Excellent TypeScript and React; Next.js familiarity a plus
  • Experience with React Native
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful preferred) and API integration
  • Solid grasp of software architecture, testing, accessibility, security and performance
  • Confident using modern AI-assisted software development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or equivalent) and judging their outputs
  • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery and automate repetitive tasks
  • Ability to balance technical excellence, UX and business outcomes while using Git, CI/CD and collaborative code review workflows
  • Product thinking and ownership
