Overview

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own features end-to-end for iwoca’s business credit card, spanning data models, APIs, and frontend; you’ll predominantly work on the backend with Python and FastAPI while delivering customer-facing frontend in React/TypeScript. You will shape the next wave of card features, collaborating with product and design to solve real cash-flow and spend-control challenges for small businesses. Expect rapid releases that impact card usage, cashback, and security, backed by AI-assisted development. This role offers a chance to influence core fintech products at scale in a cross-functional, growth-focused team.

Responsibilities
  • Build and own backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI with PostgreSQL
  • Develop frontend features in React/TypeScript for the web, and React Native for the mobile app
  • Define data models and data flows from concept to production, including testing, release, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations to ship customer-facing features
  • Work on card transactions, cashback, spend controls, and card lifecycle features
  • Contribute to AI-driven engineering practices and review AI-generated code using Claude Code as part of feature development
Key requirements
  • Backend engineering experience with well-tested Python services for customer-facing products
  • Design of relational data models and API integration
  • Frontend development with React and TypeScript
  • Product ownership experience from idea to production and live monitoring
  • Experience with AI-enhanced development and evaluating AI outputs for production readiness
  • Strong communication skills and ability to tailor technical detail to audiences
