As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will shape scalable web platforms by delivering Java and React-based solutions that power a global STEM workforce platform. You’ll influence architectural direction, engineering standards, and cloud-native practices within a greenfield initiative. You work closely with product, design, and engineering leads to create high-performing, secure experiences at scale. This role offers the opportunity to drive automation, AI-enabled development, and platform reliability in a modern tech stack.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate scalable full-stack applications using Java and React
  • Deliver accessible, high-performing user experiences
  • Develop secure, resilient backend services and APIs
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, design, and engineering leaders to solve complex challenges
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical direction
  • Promote engineering excellence via code reviews, testing, automation, and CI/CD
  • Design and maintain cloud-native solutions on Azure
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices
  • Mentor engineers and foster a learning culture
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve scalability
  • Participate in incident response and continuous service improvement initiatives
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong Java 11+ experience
  • Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed services
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and system design
  • Experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines
  • Terraform experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
