Overview

Join Equity Accelerator, a strategic transformation program to modernize Prime Finance Equities platforms. You will develop and enhance institutional-grade trading and post-trade systems using cloud-native, event-driven architecture, delivering advanced client-facing features. Work in a complex production environment, applying capital markets expertise to design and improve systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering best practices. This role offers impact on scalable, real-time trading platforms within a fintech setting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support full-stack solutions across frontend and backend components
  • Build and enhance event-driven trading and post-trade applications
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions
  • Develop responsive and real-time user interfaces for equities platforms
  • Implement and maintain APIs, messaging integrations, and backend services
  • Ensure high code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Participate in CI/CD practices, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases
  • Troubleshoot production issues and maintain data integrity in complex market environments
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering peers
  • Apply capital markets domain expertise to business and technical problem-solving
  • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of Java development experience
  • 2+ years of frontend development experience with React and/or Angular
  • Hands-on experience in capital markets, including trade lifecycle and position management
  • Any Kotlin experience is preferable or willingness to learn Kotlin
  • Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills
  • Proven experience designing and developing event-driven distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience with messaging patterns, event processing, resiliency, and failure handling
  • Strong Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and end-to-end ownership of software quality
  • Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases
  • Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or streaming technologies
  • Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and operate independently in complex production environments
