In this role you will lead the delivery of user-centered software as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You drive technical excellence, own development and deployment pipelines, and mentor junior engineers. You will communicate progress to stakeholders and shape solutions for complex client problems. Responsibilities
- Lead production of user-centered software aligned with business requirements and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions for complex client problems
- Own software development and deployment pipelines, addressing issues and bottlenecks
- Present prototypes, solutions, and progress clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and coach other engineers to support their professional development
Key requirements
- Extensive Kotlin and JVM experience
- Strong Java experience across the full development lifecycle for user-centered digital solutions
- Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js or Nunjucks
- Track record delivering high-quality, scalable solutions
- Backend services with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework
- Experience with microservices design and RESTful APIs
- Solid knowledge of public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps practices with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
