Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

In this role you design, build and test bespoke software for central government projects. You work across the full stack, combining Java, React and TypeScript to deliver secure, scalable applications. You’ll deploy across cloud environments, contribute to architecture and delivery, and mentor peers while engaging directly with government stakeholders. You’ll join a consultancy that values hands-on delivery and cross-functional collaboration to solve complex public-sector problems.

• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions
• Build full-stack applications using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React
• Utilize open-source libraries and components
• Develop CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Deploy applications across AWS, Azure and private-cloud environments
• Contribute to requirements, architecture, implementation and delivery
• Maintain and improve software over time
• Mentor engineers and lead technical delivery as appropriate
• Engage directly with government clients and stakeholders

• Strong commercial software-engineering experience
• Full-stack development with Java and React
• Experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Agile software-development practices
• Good understanding of testing, version control and CI/CD
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• consultancy or government-sector experience beneficial but not essential
