Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

In this role you will work in the Account Integrity team to protect Wise customers by building and improving fraud prevention controls. You will own end-to-end projects that strengthen security, leverage ML insights, and support real-time monitoring. You’ll collaborate with product, design, data scientists and investigations to deliver customer-facing solutions at scale. The opportunity centers on securing money, enabling growth, and shaping the money transfer platform for a global audience.

• Build and refine critical controls to protect customer accounts from takeovers
• Work full-stack with Product & Design to design convenient customer-facing controls
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enhance detection capabilities
• Deliver tangible security impact and automate processes to accelerate product growth
• Own end-to-end projects from conception to delivery

• Java or other JVM-based languages with Spring framework
• Experience building scalable web applications handling high traffic
• Frontend experience with React-based applications, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems
• Strong product mindset, data-driven decisions, customer focus
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, resilient schemas
• Commitment to Test Driven Development and best coding practices
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
