Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

In this role you will help build the core technology behind a regulated digital currency platform at an early-stage fintech. You will own contributions across the stack from backend services to settlement systems, collaborating with the Head of Engineering. You will tackle architecture-to-production work, including on-chain integration and customer-facing applications, to enable scalable, compliant financial infrastructure. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven position with meaningful impact as the platform moves from sandbox to regulated production.

• Develop and maintain backend services and transaction workflows
• Design and implement financial transaction and settlement systems
• Implement compliance and authorisation logic
• Shape database design and ensure transactional integrity
• Build APIs and event-driven architectures with shared schemas
• Develop both customer-facing and internal applications
• Integrate blockchain/on-chain settlement
• Convert architecture designs into robust, production-ready software
• Collaborate closely with Head of Engineering across the stack

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend engineering capabilities
• Experience taking systems from prototype to production
• Strong TypeScript and PostgreSQL/SQL skills
• Experience with strongly typed languages
• Rust experience is highly desirable or strong systems background with quick learning
• Experience with event-driven and transactional systems
• Strong written communication and a design-led approach
• Collaborative, hands-on and able to take ownership
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, custody or financial infrastructure is advantageous
• Interest in developing knowledge of on-chain systems
