Senior Generative AI Engineer Toronto

Design Generative AI and machine learning solutions as a Senior AI Engineer with Celestica’s hybrid Data & Analytics team in Toronto.

This senior role connects business stakeholders with technical AI teams across Celestica. You will scope use cases, architect production-ready solutions, and collaborate with the Data Center of Excellence. Your work spans LLMs, RAG patterns, vector databases, and MLOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document AI requirements through stakeholder workshops and technical deep dives
• Define model architectures, feasibility, and success metrics
• Design vector database ingestion pipelines and embedding strategies
• Develop prompts and orchestration workflows using AI frameworks
• Monitor model performance, drift, and hallucination rates

Requirements:

• 11+ years in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Data Science
• 3-5 years focused on AI or machine learning engineering
• Advanced Python and relevant machine learning library proficiency
• Generative AI, LLM, prompt engineering, and vector database knowledge
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
