Develop GNSS and INS positioning solutions as a Senior Software Engineer with Garmin in the Greater Kansas City area or Cochrane, Alberta.

Work on Garmin’s Core Platform Technology team, advancing positioning technology across product segments. The role combines C/C++ embedded software engineering, positioning algorithms, and technical research. You will collaborate across disciplines while contributing to productization and algorithm development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop GNSS and INS based positioning solutions
  • Design, implement, test, and document C/C++ embedded software
  • Contribute to positioning algorithm productization
  • Review software and algorithm designs with peers
  • Mentor less experienced Software Engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years’ relevant experience, or equivalent
  • Experience with GNSS measurements, error sources, and estimation techniques
  • Proficiency with C/C++ in embedded real-time environments
  • Ability to automate positioning data analysis using Python, Matlab, or C++
  • Experience researching and implementing algorithmic solutions
