Overview

In this role, you will manage and enhance High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Scientific Computing services to empower researchers. You will work with a 1200-core HPC cluster and petabyte-scale storage, shaping design, integration, and implementation of infrastructure that fuels global scientific progress. You’ll be onsite supporting scientists, collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, and maintaining reliable systems that underpin years of research. This is a mission-driven opportunity to directly impact life-saving research and advance cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and enhance HPC systems and Scientific Computing services
  • Provide infrastructure support (Linux-based) and scripting to keep systems reliable
  • Patch bugs, build servers, and support research operations
  • Design, integrate, and implement HPC and storage solutions (GPFS in HPC context)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with researchers
  • Operate onsite to assist scientists and explain system usage
  • Contribute to maintenance of petabyte-scale Research Data Storage Services
  • Support ongoing scientific workflows to ensure research results are reliable
Key requirements
