Senior Implementation Engineer

In this Senior Implementation Engineer role, you will lead the design and delivery of mission-critical payment integrations for top global clients. You’ll influence how enterprises design payment infrastructure at scale and improve reliability, performance, and scalability of payment flows. You’ll shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with Sales and Product to evolve the platform. Based in London, you will build highly available, high‑performance architectures and drive best practices across the implementation team.

• Deliver complex, multi-region enterprise integration projects
• Design scalable, high-availability architectures for global merchants
• Define and enforce technical standards across implementation teams
• Act as strategic technical advisor in pre-sales and delivery phases
• Shape industry standards for large-scale payment architectures
• Foster best practices in reliability, scalability, security, and system design
• Mentor and support Implementation Engineers
• Partner with Product and Engineering to influence platform evolution
• Manage critical escalations and ensure stability of high-scale merchant integrations

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or technical consulting with deep API integration experience
• Deep system design and distributed systems expertise
• Ability to operate as a solution architect and trusted advisor in complex, enterprise environments
• Experience contributing to production-level systems with pragmatic engineering trade-offs
• Comfortable engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers
• Strong decision-making in complex and ambiguous environments
