Overview
In this role you will produce timely, accurate BI and information to support operational and strategic decisions, driving clinical and quality improvement. You will build information solutions using the Microsoft BI stack and work closely with clinicians and staff to translate needs into actionable insights. The post supports a five-year digital strategy focused on delivering high-quality information and digital solutions with patient care at the core. Flexible remote-working options are available to meet service needs.

- Produce and deliver business intelligence to inform operational and strategic decisions
- Fulfil statutory data returns and ad-hoc data analysis requests
- Develop information solutions using the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, PowerBI)
- Build strong relationships with senior clinicians and operational staff to understand business needs
- Work with tight deadlines and manage own workload
- Support remote and flexible working arrangements for digital staff
- Contribute to the five-year digital strategy and ongoing information delivery
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development and post-qualification learning
- Significant experience in health informatics and specialist technical training
- Advanced information analysis skills including forecasting and modelling techniques
- Experience using SQL scripts, procedures and functions (intermediate to advanced)
- Knowledge of data standards and data quality techniques
- Desirable: advanced statistical modelling and bespoke software algorithms
- Desirable: SSIS and SSAS, data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau)
- Ability to speak Welsh (desirable)

- Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL scripting (intermediate to advanced)
