Overview
As a Senior Information Manager at AECOM, you lead governance, risk, and lifecycle management of information across programmes to support compliant, data-driven delivery. You’ll embed ISO 19650 and related standards, oversee CDEs and digital platforms, and enable informed decision-making for clients and projects. You’ll work with senior stakeholders to ensure information is treated as a strategic asset, driving value and digital delivery. This role offers impact at scale within a global, multidisciplinary team.

- Define and implement enterprise-level information management strategies aligned to client objectives
- Establish IM policies and procedures per ISO 19650 and governance frameworks
- Oversee information lifecycle management including classification, storage, retention, and disposal
- Lead configuration and optimisation of digital platforms such as CDEs and Microsoft 365/SharePoint Online
- Govern access controls, metadata schemas, and automation to support ISO 19650 workflows
- Lead, mentor, and develop Information Management and Document Control teams
- Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate IM risks, strategy, and opportunities
- Monitor IM performance and risk against KPIs and produce governance reports
- Strong knowledge of data modelling and information structures aligned to ISO 19650
- Ability to define data architectures enabling interoperability across CDEs, BIM, and enterprise systems
- Basic understanding of Power BI and data visualization
- Awareness of AI and machine learning applications related to automation and analytics
- Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, SharePoint) for secure information management
- Proven experience implementing governance frameworks and managing information risk
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Information Management, Data Science, or related discipline
- Senior-level frameworks experience (e.g., GKIM Level 6 or equivalent)
- Security clearance eligibility (SC)
