Overview

As Senior Information Manager at AECOM, you will lead the design and delivery of compliant information management practices across programmes, turning information into a strategic asset. You will establish governance aligned with ISO 19650 and ISO 27001, oversee CDEs, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to manage risk, enable digital delivery, and support data-driven decision making. This role offers a chance to shape information governance in large-scale infrastructure projects within a global, collaborative team.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement enterprise-level information management strategies aligned to client objectives
  • Establish IM policies, standards, and procedures in line with ISO 19650 and governance frameworks
  • Lead end-to-end information lifecycle management and data governance frameworks
  • Oversee configuration and optimisation of digital platforms including CDEs, Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online, BIM platforms
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Information Management teams and drive continuous improvement
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to advise on IM risks and opportunities; drive change management
  • Monitor IM performance, risks and compliance against KPIs; produce governance reports
Key requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience in Information Management, Digital Delivery, or Data Governance in built environment or infrastructure
  • Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Data Science, or related discipline
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks and managing information risk
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650, information governance principles, and information security standards
  • Ability to define data architectures enabling interoperability across CDEs, BIM, and enterprise systems
  • Strong leadership and people management
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic decisions
  • Excellent communication to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Data modelling and information structures aligned to ISO 19650
  • Data architectures for interoperability across CDEs, BIM, and enterprise systems
  • Power BI basic data visualisation
