Overview

In this role you will design, deploy, and maintain automation frameworks that enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency in Arm’s hybrid infrastructure. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment, configuration, and lifecycle processes across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will build and operate automation tools (IaC, Python, Bash) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, balancing reliability with security. This is a hands-on, on‑call role that shapes the automation platform for a large-scale, hybrid estate.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using IaC, Python, Bash, and configuration management tools
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency
  • Investigate infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement automated fixes
  • Create clear documentation for tools, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in on‑call rotation to maintain system availability
  • Review new tools and technologies to improve reliability, security, and operability
Key requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools in production
  • Experience managing large-scale Linux environments and solving system issues
  • Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices in production
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation
  • Experience operating in hybrid environments (on‑premises and cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, GitLab, Vault, Foreman
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Python and Bash scripting
