Overview
In this role you will maintain and enhance a large-scale VMware-based virtualised infrastructure, balancing BAU operations with project delivery. You’ll join a skilled infrastructure team, contributing to stability, performance, and resilience while supporting cloud migration and modernisation efforts. The position offers hybrid work with on-site presence in Milton Keynes and scope for future technology initiatives, shaping enterprise platforms for critical services.
Responsibilities- Support and maintain VMware-based virtualisation platforms
- Deliver infrastructure improvements and project-based work
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues
- Implement and configure new virtualisation services
- Collaborate with wider infrastructure and operations teams
- Contribute to service optimisation, resilience, and performance improvements
- Provide technical knowledge transfer and documentation as needed
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi
- vCenter
- VMware HA Configuration
- vSAN
- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- VMware NSX
- VMware Aria
- Extensive infrastructure engineering and virtualisation experience
- Experience supporting complex enterprise environments
