Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Wintel

In this role you will build, transition and support secure infrastructure services within a major Defence programme. You’ll work on delivery, integration and operations across highly classified environments, collaborating with SMEs, infrastructure specialists and development teams. Based on-site in Hemel Hempstead, you’ll expand capabilities and mature platforms while operating in a secure, mission-focused setting. This is a varied engineering role with impact on defence outcomes and national security.

• Support the delivery, integration and transition of infrastructure services into live production
• Provide operational support and continuous improvement for secure messaging and infrastructure platforms
• Build, maintain and enhance infrastructure in highly classified Defence environments
• Work across Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, VMware, storage and virtualization technologies
• Contribute to project delivery activities within a major greenfield Defence programme
• Support critical platforms underpinning Defence and national security outcomes

• Active UK DV clearance
• Experience supporting Wintel and server-based environments within complex enterprise infrastructures
• Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Linux and networking technologies
• Experience working across multiple infrastructure technologies rather than a single technical specialism
• Knowledge of infrastructure support, system administration and platform maintenance activities
• Proactive approach to taking ownership of work and delivering against objectives
