Overview

In this Senior Infrastructure Officer role you drive planning & advisory work on nationally significant infrastructure projects in Lincolnshire. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team to shape outcomes for residents and the environment, engaging with promoters, communities and decision-makers. You’ll handle Local Impact Reports, legal agreements, hearings, and conditions, with day-to-day management of the Planning Apprentice. This position offers a clear path to influence Lincolnshire’s energy transition at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and advise on NSIPs to achieve positive outcomes for Lincolnshire residents and environment
  • Prepare Local Impact Reports and negotiate legal agreements
  • Appear at examinations, inquiries and hearings; discharge conditions/requirements
  • Collaborate with promoters, applicants, communities and stakeholders
  • Manage workloads and provide day-to-day supervision for the Planning Apprentice
  • Process applications for minerals and waste development when workload allows
Key requirements
  • Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Town and Country Planning
  • Eligible for full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
  • Experience in strategic planning and NSIPs; ability to engage with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders
