Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Integration Specialist (10+ years) to design and implement cloud-native integration solutions using OpenShift, MuleSoft, Apache Camel, and REST APIs

Join a modernization initiative focused on delivering scalable enterprise integration services across complex application environments. This role supports the design, development, testing, and implementation of API-based integration solutions using OpenShift, MuleSoft, Apache Camel, Enterprise Java, and REST APIs. The project includes integration across enterprise platforms including CRM, ERP, asset management, training management, document management, and regulatory systems. The engagement supports large-scale enterprise IT delivery within a public sector environment.

Part-Time, Toronto, Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

  • 10+ years delivering Enterprise Integration solutions using Apache Camel , MuleSoft, Enterprise Java, REST APIs, and JSON/XML
  • Expertise with OpenShift and Kubernetes for containerized deployments
  • Advanced integration delivery across enterprise application environments including CRM , ERP, asset management, training management, and document management systems
  • Strong SQL skills and implementation of fault-tolerant integration patterns including retries, dead-letter queues (DLQ) , monitoring, and data consistency approaches
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Nice to Have

  • AWS services including Lambda, SQS, and S3
  • Experience designing and implementing MuleSoft integration flows, APIs, and reusable integration services
  • CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience applying API-led connectivity principles in MuleSoft-based architectures

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver and sustain API development and integration solutions
  • Determine requirements, analyze options, and design enterprise information structures and applications
  • Develop, test, and implement scalable enterprise integration solutions
  • Apply technical expertise to maintain policies, procedures, and standards for enterprise information and application integrity
  • Ensure security, privacy, and quality assurance requirements are implemented in compliance with legislation
  • Develop business models, data models, schemas, technical program code, and integration interfaces
  • Prepare technical documentation, test documentation, database schemas, and data flow diagrams
