Senior Internal Audit Methodology Advisor

Advance internal audit methodology at Desjardins while developing professional tools and advising teams on complex audit practices.

As Senior Advisor, Professional Practice and Operational Support, you will support strategies used across Desjardins Group. Your work combines internal audit expertise, risk management knowledge, and influential leadership. You will help develop auditors’ skills through training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop audit methodology and professional tools aligned with IIA standards
• Advise teams on complex internal audit practice issues
• Design and facilitate auditor training activities
• Represent DGMO in cross-functional lines-of-defence initiatives
• Monitor best practices and recommend audit function improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• At least eight years of relevant experience
• Significant internal audit or risk management experience
• Methodology, training program, or professional framework development experience
• CIA, CPA, or another relevant designation completed or in progress
