Overview

In this role, you will build high-quality iOS experiences for millions of users, contributing to the evolution of ASOS’s mobile platform. You’ll work closely with product, design and fellow engineers to shape solutions from idea to launch, while ensuring performance, reliability and a polished customer experience. You will influence technical decisions and mentor others, helping raise engineering standards across the team. Responsibilities
  • Build and deliver customer experiences used by millions globally
  • Develop features with modern iOS technologies and best practices for quality, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineers to move ideas from concept to launch
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvements of the iOS platform
  • Own features/services to ensure reliability, maintainability, and seamless UX
  • Mentor and support other engineers to raise engineering standards
  • Leverage data, experimentation and insights to inform app improvements
Key requirements
  • Experience building iOS apps using Swift and core iOS frameworks
  • Proficiency with Xcode, Interface Builder and Auto Layout for responsive UIs
  • Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and design principles
  • Knowledge of common software design patterns and architecture concepts
  • Commitment to writing clear, maintainable code and improving codebases
  • Experience supporting across iPhone and iPad form factors
  • Familiarity with unit testing and contributing to test coverage
  • Experience with UI automation tools or willingness to learn them
