Senior iOS Engineer

As part of Freetrade's mobile engineering team, you will shape the iOS app experience by delivering high-quality features that empower thousands of investors. You’ll collaborate across design, product, and QA to craft delightful user experiences, while guiding architecture and technical choices. You’ll tackle performance, security, and debt, aiming to scale a robust, developer-friendly platform. This role offers influence over product direction and engineering standards in a fast-growing fintech. You’ll join a mission-driven team focused on simplifying investing for millions.

• Lead the design and delivery of new features for the iOS app, ensuring performance, quality, security and robustness
• Own features end-to-end with cross-functional collaboration (backend, design, product, QE)
• Set and maintain high code quality via hands-on development, code reviews and testing
• Resolve complex issues, reduce bottlenecks and technical debt
• Drive improvements in engineering standards and practices
• Mentor and support junior engineers on design, implementation, and best practices
• Participate in a support rota to understand and resolve customer issues

• Typically 6+ years of experience building production-grade mobile applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical decisions
• Deep understanding of iOS architecture and common patterns
• Proficiency with Swift, DI frameworks, and SwiftUI
• Good understanding of GraphQL and backend integration
• Experience with Combine, Swift Concurrency or RxSwift
• Familiarity with git and collaborative development practices
• Understanding of CI and build tooling (CircleCI)
• Experience mentoring and growing junior engineers
