About the Role

As an IT Controller, you will join the Controlling team and create transparency around the financial performance of IT. You will support the CIO and management with strategic and financial decisions by combining controlling expertise with a strong understanding of IT structures and costs. The role covers IT services, project costs, ongoing expenditure, and future cost trends across a healthcare organization operating in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with approximately 14,000 employees and more than 70 facilities. You will develop business cases, management reporting, allocation models, and planning tools that support sustainable decision-making and effective management of the IT service portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the CIO on financial, strategic, and business-related matters
• Provide transparency into IT services, project costs, and ongoing IT expenditure
• Analyze future cost developments in relation to strategic initiatives
• Structure and financially assess the IT service portfolio
• Develop activity-based and service-based IT charging models
• Define transparent allocation and distribution keys for clinics
• Create and maintain business cases
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning
• Develop meaningful IT KPIs and management reports
• Prepare decision-making materials for the CIO, management, and governance committees

Required Skills

• Degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT controlling, IT financial management, or technology finance
• Strong understanding of IT organizations, IT service portfolios, and related cost structures
• Experience with allocation, distribution, and charging models for IT services
• Understanding of common IT cost categories, including infrastructure, applications, cloud, licenses, and external service providers
• Experience with IT projects, business cases, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ability to translate technical relationships into commercial decision-making materials
• Confident communication with CIOs, IT leaders, and management
• Strong ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently
• Excellent German skills at C1 level or above

• Support budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial planning
• Prepare business cases, KPIs, and financial management reporting
