Senior IT Delivery Manager

In this role you will lead end-to-end IT delivery within HMRC's CDIO, guiding multi-disciplinary teams through complex projects. You will work to align delivery with broader business strategy and governance, leveraging Agile and Waterfall approaches. The position offers hybrid working, a focus on development and collaboration, and the chance to shape large-scale IT outcomes for the organisation. • Lead strategic IT delivery for HMRC’s largest projects and ensure seamless infrastructure integration
• Develop and maintain delivery plans and reports, applying Agile and Waterfall methods
• Own risk management by proactively identifying and resolving dependencies and critical issues
• Oversee financial governance including forecasting, budgeting, and expenditure tracking
• Line-manage Delivery Managers, drive resource planning and talent development
• Influence senior stakeholders to align IT delivery with business strategy
• Champion the delivery community and foster cross-organisational collaboration

• Proven track record delivering large, complex IT projects in dynamic environments
• Experience leading and developing technical professionals while improving performance
• Expert use of project management tools across Agile and Waterfall frameworks
• Financial oversight skills with ability to assess costs and ensure value for money
• Experience integrating multiple external vendors to deliver timely outcomes
