Overview
In this role you will lead the IT agenda for a fast-growing pan-European organisation in the rail sector, ensuring technology directly enables business performance. You will shape strategy and delivery, driving a Microsoft-led transformation with a focus on Dynamics 365 F&O and supply chain. You will consolidate and standardise post-acquisition systems across entities and promote automation and AI to improve reporting and decision-making. A pragmatic, high-impact IT function will operate under your leadership, with strong uptime, security and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end IT agenda (strategy, operations, security, vendors, change)
- Drive Microsoft-led transformation focusing on Dynamics 365 F&O and Supply Chain
- Lead post-acquisition systems consolidation and standardisation
- Champion automation/AI to enhance reporting and workflows
- Maintain a resilient platform with high uptime and regulatory compliance
- Develop a multi-year tech roadmap aligned to business goals
- Oversee D365 performance, integrations, and Power BI insights
- Manage secure IT operations, cloud infra, backups, and SOC-aligned security
- Oversee pan-European MSP and vendor performance and commercial outcomes
- Lead a small, capable team across service delivery, architecture, and data/MI
- Senior IT leadership experience in mid-to-large organisations
- Strong Dynamics 365 and Microsoft ecosystem background (Azure/M365/Power Platform/security)
- Proven delivery of complex change (ERP optimisation, integrations, transformation programmes)
- Confident stakeholder management and budget ownership
- Onsite availability 3 days per week in London with regular European travel
