Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the organization’s IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and end-user computing services to ensure availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. You will manage technical teams and liaise with stakeholders across a complex financial services environment. The position combines hands-on infrastructure oversight with governance, modernization, and transformation initiatives. You will shape resilient IT operations and security posture in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and optimize Windows and Linux servers
  • Manage VMware vSphere environments and enterprise backup/DRP with Veeam
  • Oversee Veeam ONE and VRO environments
  • Administer endpoint security (SEP/SEE) and support DLP, SIEM, and monitoring tools (Splunk, Tenable)
  • Manage patching with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus
  • Support Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies
  • Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and health of infrastructure
  • Enforce IT governance, security policies, and operational standards
  • Provide advanced desktop and end-user computing support and imaging
  • Administer Active Directory, GPOs, and user provisioning
  • Support financial systems and enterprise applications (Bloomberg FXT, Refinitiv Eikon, Murex, SWIFT SAA, etc.)
  • Manage file synchronization/SFTP and enterprise networking (Cisco, FortiGate)
  • Handle SSL/TLS lifecycle, certificates, and key management
  • Develop IT policies, documentation, and SOPs; drive automation and service improvements
  • Support architecture reviews, modernization, and SDLC-related deployment processes
  • Maintain asset management and reporting
  • Operate in a hybrid office setup in Central London
Key requirements
  • 7+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure and systems administration
  • Experience in financial services, banking, trading, or treasury environments
  • Proven track record managing mission-critical infrastructure and applications
  • Experience in regulated and security-focused environments
  • Ability to support VIP stakeholders
