The Role:


As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support, managing core infrastructure systems and helping to develop and improve both internal and customer-facing IT solutions. You will work closely with clients to resolve technical issues, maintain systems and ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered.


Please note that this role will involve occasional travel and some out-of-hours work to meet customer and business requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide desktop, server and infrastructure support to business clients.
  • Manage and monitor backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Maintain and develop remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms.
  • Support and manage security solutions including firewalls, antivirus and email security.
  • Administer internal systems including Dynamics CRM and IT Glue.
  • Manage support tickets, calls and emails, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and networking issues.
  • Prepare, configure and deploy PCs, laptops and other IT equipment.
  • Carry out workshop repairs and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.

Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT Support or MSP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, routing, switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware virtualisation.
  • Familiarity with remote support and RMM tools.
  • Experience using ticketing and documentation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
