Senior Java Azure Software Developer

Build complex applications with Java and Microsoft Azure as a Senior Software Developer working 100% onsite in Toronto five days weekly. Lead cloud-native microservices, APIs, and enterprise delivery for Ontario.

The Government Services Integration Cluster seeks an experienced senior developer for the Government of Ontario. You will design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise and public-facing applications. The work includes technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Java applications, interfaces, APIs, services, and database components
• Deploy cloud-based microservices within Microsoft Azure environments
• Build automated unit, integration, API, database, and interface tests
• Lead development teams and guide technical direction
• Prepare deployment, API, configuration, and support documentation

Requirements:

• Experience developing complex enterprise applications using Java
• Experience deploying microservices and applications in Microsoft Azure
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns, CI/CD, and configuration management
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing software development teams
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
