Senior Java Back-End Engineer

Build cloud-based financial market solutions as a Back-End Software Engineer Specialist in Toronto, using Java, AWS, and SQL in a hybrid environment.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will design production-grade software supporting critical financial market infrastructure. The role involves Java development, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring Boot, and collaboration with product managers and global cross-functional teams. You will contribute to reliable systems serving external clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality back-end software applications
• Test, deploy, and maintain financial infrastructure software
• Translate requirements into scalable, reliable software solutions
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to design discussions
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge

Requirements:

• Six-plus years of Java software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency with AWS, SQL, RESTful APIs, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Experience with Maven, Git, Linux, and Bash scripting
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
