Build CitiDirect payment architecture with Core Java and Spring Framework expertise as a Senior Java Backend Developer working full time. Design scalable backend services supporting Citi’s unified digital gateway for clients.

This senior development role focuses on modernizing CitiDirect’s Payment architecture. You will apply Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices expertise while building event-driven services with Apache Kafka. The work also includes MongoDB, Oracle, RESTful APIs, security, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable Java backend services
  • Implement microservices with Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3
  • Build event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
  • Design schemas and optimize MongoDB and Oracle queries
  • Mentor junior developers through code reviews

Requirements:

  • Seven-plus years of Java development experience
  • Strong Core Java and Spring Framework expertise
  • Proven microservices architecture experience
  • Apache Kafka and reactive programming proficiency
  • Unit and integration testing experience using JUnit and Mockito
