Senior Java Capital Markets Developer

Lead Java engineering for Citi’s Credit Risk and Capital Markets platforms in a hybrid Vice President-level individual contributor role. Apply cloud-native architecture and distributed systems expertise.

This Senior Java Developer owns technical delivery across large-scale, business-critical platforms. You will shape engineering standards, guide modernization, and deliver solutions across globally distributed teams. Core Java, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Capital Markets knowledge support the work. The role spans architecture, development, deployment, and platform evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design enterprise-scale Credit Risk and Capital Markets systems
• Re-engineer monoliths into resilient cloud-native microservices
• Define architecture for cloud migration initiatives
• Build low-latency, highly available platforms
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards

Requirements:

• Six or more years in application development or systems analysis
• Deep Core Java and performance tuning expertise
• Docker and Kubernetes microservices deployment experience
• Distributed systems, Flink, and caching knowledge
• Capital Markets, Derivatives, and Credit Risk experience
