Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer at Version 1, you design, build, and maintain high-performance Java applications that power customer-focused solutions. You will leverage AWS to deliver scalable cloud-based systems and manage robust data workflows, including batch processing. You’ll collaborate with product, QA, and other developers to ship reliable software while mentoring junior engineers. • Design and develop robust, scalable Java applications
• Integrate AWS services to build cloud-based solutions with high availability
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and complex SQL
• Develop and manage batch processing systems for large data volumes
• Ensure code quality via reviews, unit tests, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and defects

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years as a Java Developer in product development or services environment
• 3+ years AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bus)
• 5+ years relational database experience (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) with complex joins and optimization
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
