Senior Java Developer

In this Senior Tech Lead role, you will help design and deliver a high-impact FX Swaps clearing platform as part of a dedicated Bucharest squad. You will shape low-latency, high-throughput Java microservices within a regulated, high-availability environment, closely collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll own critical technical decisions, contribute to test strategy and CI/CD, and support production releases in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum setting. • Design and deliver the FX Swaps clearing product within Global Clearing Solution
• Develop low-latency, high-throughput Java/Spring Boot microservices
• Ensure system performance, resilience, and security compliance
• Integrate with external FX trading venues (e.g., FX Matching)
• Implement and optimize real-time trade processing workflows
• Collaborate on test strategy and automation (functional & non-functional)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and incremental production releases
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-team collaboration
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts
• Support production releases, go-live activities, and post-implementation support

• Strong experience in Java (11-17+) and Spring Boot microservices
• Experience with distributed systems and caching (Hazelcast or similar)
• Solid knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible)
• Hands-on experience with test automation (Cucumber or similar)
• Strong understanding of microservices and stateless design
• Experience building low-latency, high-availability systems
• Knowledge of integration patterns in complex enterprise systems
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven ability to work as a Tech Lead
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong ownership, delivery focus, and problem-solving skills
• Nice-to-have: Capital Markets / FX knowledge and cloud exposure (AWS or similar)
