Build Java and Big Data solutions in Toronto for TD Securities’ Trading Risk Warehouse platform, supporting capital markets technology users.

As a Senior Java Developer designated Engineer I, you will develop software for Risk Analysts, Front Office Traders, and Senior Executives. The team uses distributed systems, data platforms, REST APIs, and web applications. You will contribute across development, testing, deployment, and production support while learning capital markets and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable applications on distributed computing platforms
  • Build data pipelines, REST APIs, and web applications
  • Participate in software design, testing, and deployment
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues under guidance
  • Collaborate with global technology and business teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ years developing Java/JEE software
  • 3+ years using Big Data technologies
  • Experience with Spark, Scala, Python, or Hadoop
  • Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
