Overview
Senior Java Engineer with hands-on ICON IPF payments experience to lead delivery of cloud-based, large-scale payment platforms for major banking clients. You will work in cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure solutions in AWS, using Java 11, Spring Boot and microservices. You’ll collaborate with bankers and engineers to translate requirements into robust payment capabilities, emphasizing ISO 20022 standards and event-driven architectures. This role offers the chance to shape transformation programmes in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

- Extensive commercial experience with Java 11
- Strong Spring Boot and microservices experience
- Hands-on ICON IPF experience
- Strong AWS experience
- Experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging
- Strong understanding of ISO 20022, payment types and schemes
- Experience delivering technology solutions for major banking organisations
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and cloud architectures
