Senior Java Engineer to join a payments technology team delivering large-scale transformation programmes for financial services clients. You will develop cloud-native, Java-based payment platforms and help modernise systems using microservices and event-driven architectures. Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to drive high-quality, scalable solutions and contribute to engineering best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance large-scale payment processing solutions
  • Build cloud-native applications using Java and microservices
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient payment systems
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and engineering best practices
  • Work within Agile delivery environments on complex transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with client teams to solve challenging technical problems
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial Java development experience
  • Experience with Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies
  • Experience working with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems
  • Understanding of payment processing and ISO 20022 standards
  • Experience working within complex financial services environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
