Senior Java Engineer (

In this role you will help modernise large-scale payments platforms for major financial institutions. You’ll join a specialist payments engineering team delivering transformation programmes across the banking sector. You will build cloud-native Java applications, microservices, and event-driven services to support secure, scalable payments. • Develop and enhance enterprise-scale payment processing solutions
• Build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot and microservices
• Work in AWS environments to deliver resilient platforms
• Support implementation of modern payment solutions and integrations

• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders throughout delivery lifecycle

• Strong commercial Java development experience
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architectures
• Experience with AWS cloud environments
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 payments standards
• Hands-on experience with the ICON IPF framework
• Experience working with major banking/financial services organisations
