Toronto-based Senior Full Stack Software Developer work spans Java, REST APIs, and enterprise platform services across multiple application layers.

This senior developer designs, develops, integrates, tests, deploys, and maintains secure platform capabilities. The work covers frontend, backend, APIs, workflows, integrations, and data access. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, analysts, UX designers, QA specialists, DevOps engineers, security teams, and ministry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Java-based microservices and reusable platform services
  • Develop REST APIs, workflows, integrations, and data-access components
  • Create automated unit, integration, API, database, and interface tests
  • Conduct design walkthroughs, estimates, code reviews, and impact assessments
  • Provide troubleshooting, documentation, mentoring, and production support

Requirements:

  • Ten or more years developing large-scale, multi-client web applications
  • Extensive Java experience with Oracle, SQL, or relational databases
  • Significant REST API, microservice, and Internet application experience
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0, JSON Web Tokens, and SSL certificates
  • Knowledge of Agile methods, clean code, and design patterns
