Overview

In this role you drive secure, scalable software delivery within an agile Corporate Technology team at JPMorganChase. You provide technical guidance, develop high-quality production code, and advance AI-assisted development practices across teams to improve quality, speed, and operational outcomes. You influence product design and act as a subject matter expert while championing firmwide SDLC frameworks and secure engineering standards. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a strong emphasis on responsible AI and cloud-native delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ code
  • Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards
  • Leverage SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation at scale
  • Influence product design and technical operations decisions
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in focus areas
  • Contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices
Key requirements
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages
  • Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools adoption and setting team expectations for AI output validation
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security expectations
  • Ability to tackle design problems independently
  • Practical cloud-native experience
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python; experience with Apache Spark
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira and Agile
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills
